about
I wrote this track as part of a songwriters group back in 2017 or so when each of us would write a word on a piece of paper, stick it in a hat, and draw one out for the week. It was a good exercise. When "guillotine" was the word of the week, I Googled it and the first thing I read said the guillotine used to be considered the most humane way to kill. I took that as my inspiration and wrote this song. I filed it away and mostly forgot about it until our Governor here in South Carolina signed a bill reinstating the firing squad. Fucknuts (a word my friend Noel uses) was the only thing I could think of as a reply to that, and I wasn't sure how productive fucknuts would be besides the obvious therapy of writing the word fucknuts and saying the word fucknuts out loud. So anyway, I decided to release this now. In 2017 I believe that Utah was the only state that had this option for death row inmates, hence the Utah line in the song. Any other questions/complaints, give me a call or email.
